Nice! I've tried lots of types of wires for my historical millinery. I'm no milliner; I'm a mantua-maker, so I normally struggle with those Regency and Fanchon bonnets, but this is nice and smooth to work with. I like the curve it's in the package, because that's pretty close to a crown or brim curve, so you don't have to mess with adjustments too much. 16 gauge is fine and heavy enough for a single (medium) buckram large brim. I've been using heavier for the later Victorian (1840's) bonnets which is OK, but I realize those were overkill. This is really nice stuff. Your masking tape really sticks to it!
